KORAA – About Us

The Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow (CIAT) is KOICA's flagship fellowship and training program. The name "CIAT" is pronounced like the Korean word for "seed," symbolizing the program's mission to plant seeds of hope across partner countries.

Since 1991, CIAT has trained over 102,000 government officials, professionals, and change-makers from developing countries in Korea, equipping them with essential technical skills and knowledge for sustainable socio-economic development in their home nations.

Capacity Improvement

Country-Specific Tracks Programs that are tailored and designed specifically as per the needs and requirements of an individual partner country.
Priority for Country-Specific Training is given to trainees directly linked with KOICA Country Projects.
Multi-Nation Tracks Programs that are designed by KOICA and are open to any interested partner countries facing shared industrial challenges.

Degree Tracks

Academic Scholarship Packages Master's (17 months) and PhD (36 months) Degree programs offered by KOICA in renowned universities of Korea in the development sectors for the government officials from partner countries.
Master's and PhD scholarship programs recruit trainees bi-annually (during the first and second semesters of the year).
